Business Apps to Boost Productivity

It is obvious to everyone that smartphones have become something more than simple communication tools, right now they can take notes, maintain todo lists and on the whole, help us communicate better. How do they do that? Well, there?s a series of different apps to increase productivity, both at work and in your personal life. Here?s a list of my favourite ones. Which can be found on the Android Market and on the AppStore.

springpadSpringpad

This app syncs your memos, photos and audio recordings across iOS and Android apps, as well as the Springpad website. It also has a sharing feature that allows you to share your clippings on Facebook or to collaborate with colleagues on project-related notebooks. In other words it allows you to save and share and organize your ?stuff?.

astridAstrid

Although it has been around for a while, and with more than 1,000,000 downloads, Astrid is one of the most well-known apps on Android Market. It allows you to create tasks and organize them with tags, assign priorities, add notes, due dates and set alarms.

watodoWaToDo!

This app brings the GTD productivity to Android. It allows you to create tasks and assign them to projects and contexts, with support for unlimited sub-projects levels, repeating tasks and alarms.

EvernoteEvernote

This is the most popular note-taking organisational tool out there. It has clients for the web as well as for most desktop and mobile platforms.

epistleEpistle

Epistle is different from other applications on the list because as it uses Dropbox, it takes a different approach to syncing your notes online. It saves all of your notes on to your Dropbox folder and therefore has them synced with every device you have Dropbox installed on.

taskosTaskos

This app is a very good todo list manager which lets you add tasks by typing them in or dictating them using the voice recognition feature on Android phones, even straight from the home screen through the Taskos widget.

remember the milkRemember the Milk

This is another one of the most popular to do lists on the net. It has one downside forever, because the mobile application is useless unless you have a a $25 per year RTM Pro account, although you are allowed 10 days as a tryout period.

jorteJote

This is a very useful app to have if what you do on your phone has lots to do with your calendar. It?s a kind of small calendar application with loads of features at an unbeatable price. It consists of a calendar with multiple views, synced with Google Calendar, as well as tasks, notes and memos.

aataskAA task

Although its name might make you think that it?s a todo list, it?s actually more of a scheduling application. A calendar takes up most of the screen and you?re allowed to add events, memos, anniversaries and more to it. You can also set a password so that only you can access the information.
